THE DESIGN + BUILD PROCESS

PHASE I:  INITIAL CONSULTATION

The first step in the design build process is we sit down with you to establish your renovation or new construction needs, desires, and goals as well as establishing a general budget.  What do you want? How do you live? After this initial meeting, //A2 Design + Build will prepare a proposal for you to proceed with the next 4 phases of the project.

PHASE II:  DESIGN

During the design phase, //A2 will work with you through several meetings in your home to formulate your wish list into functional spaces.  An in-depth Site Analysis is conducted to maximize natural light, prevailing winds, and the natural contours of your land.  Our in-house designers and suite of consulting engineers will develop a set of construction documents that will also include realistic 3D renderings highlighting more detailed areas of your project.  //A2 will also develop details regarding kitchens, bathrooms, and a summary of finishes throughout the house that will be referenced in the final construction price of the project.  After you have approved the final design and construction price of your project, we advance to the next phase:  permitting.

PHASE III:  PERMITTING

//A2 will work with your local jurisdiction and state/local municipality to get your permits prepared, submitted, reviewed, and approved.  Our dedicated consultants of designers and engineers work in conjunction with certified permit edpeditors that will quickly respond to any reviewer's comments and keep a sometimes grueling process flowing smoothly. 

 

PHASE IV:  CONSTRUCTION

Upon obtaining the necessary building permits, the construction of your project begins!  //A2 handles ALL aspects of the construction while continuously keeping you informed as to progress.  Major milestones are marked with personal "walk-through" meetings where you will have the opportunity to view your project with our staff on hand.  Upon completion of the construction, a final meeting will be conducted where you will be handed the keys to your new home.
